Kupup is a hamlet in the Indian state of Sikkim near the border with China. It lies close to the Jelep La pass. To the southeast of the pass is the lake Bitang Tso also called the Elephant Lake or Kupup Lake,
To the east of Kapup is Mount Gipmochin, which China claims as the trijunction between India, Bhutan and itself, but this is disputed by Bhutan and India. As a rememberance of my time spent at this beautiful hamlet,
we have recently made a Studio Cottage ,by the name of Kapup .
It has a bedroom with a double bed, a sitting area , attached washroom ,a small balcony facing the Woodstock School forest.
